About Me

Hello! My name is James.

I would be honored to witness you and your relationships and attune to your specific needs. I work with an anti-oppressive lens and it is my goal to be present with your intersectional identities and cultural influences. I actively work to redistribute the privileges provided by my whiteness. Via the hardships of a below the poverty line generational lineage, I have learned to withstand heightened pressure. I am an AFAB non-binary bisexual person. I identify as and have been labeled, neurodivergent. This identity comes from my genetics as well as my upbringing.

I am happy to work with people on many spectrums, from different work and life fields, those seeking clarity and more resilience, or simply comfort when in a tough situation. I hope to meet you wherever you are in your process and identity, I am committed to my role as your confidant and heart-centered healer.

I have a Master of Arts in Couples and Family Therapy from Antioch University Seattle, I am currently a Licensed Associate Therapist.

I have experience with serving people in many different crisis and suffering scenarios. I have completed a 33-hr. Paraprofessional Intimate Partner Violence & Anti-Oppression training with Safehouse Progressive Alliance for Non-Violence. I have worked with couples in IPV via first responder support and court advocacy as well as couples seeking reproductive support. Additionally, I have supported at-risk teens who have endured justice system trauma and/or houseless-ness. Lastly, I worked as a preschool teacher for close to four years and have studied Childhood & Adult Development extensively.

Prior to centering mental and emotional health as my profession I worked as an artist and curator. I received a Masters of Fine Arts in Visual Studies from Pacific Northwest College of Art. My Bachelor’s degree is in Humanistic & Transpersonal Psychology from Naropa University, with a minor in Contemplative Education.

With this in body-heart-mind, I hope to hold a non-judgemental and attentive container for you – one in which you’re comfortable to explore yourself, your experiences, and your chosen path.

I look forward to the opportunity of meeting with you.
